Back to the past at my Alma Mater

Next week I am having an opportunity to be at my alma mater …Manasa Gangotri, Mysore to attend a Diamond Jubilee Function of the Library Science Department.

Visit to Mysore and more specifically to Manasa Gangotri where I completed my basic education with M.Sc. in Physics in the year 1973 evokes the nostalgic memories. It is great to note that the Alumni association of Library Science Department is able to organize an event of this type while other departments such as Physics donot seem to have such a strong backing of alumni. In the Physics department, thanks to the efforts of some have created an alumni of the 1973 batch but a larger organization has not emerged. I hopeĀ  the current students and staff of the Physics Department take a leaf out of this event and start their own Alumni either independently or with the Chemistry and Mathematics departments together.

Looking forward to the interaction with the audience along with the otherĀ  speakers and share some of my thoughts on “Impact of Cyber Laws and Data Protection Law on Academic Institutions”.
