On 13th November 2025, Meity published the notification of DPDPA rules and the time line for implementation of DPDPA provisions.
By this time Naavi and FDPPI had already developed a framework called “Digital Governance and Protection Standard of India” (DGPSI) and had also recently extended it to the AI environment through DGPSI-AI.
IDPS 2025 the flagship event of FDPPI on September 17, 2025 at Bangalore and September 27 at Chennai had also discussed this under the theme “Taming the twin Challenges of DPDPA and AI”. A book by the same name was also released at Bangalore.

Yesterday an open web meeting was held in which Naavi explained the DGPSI Framework in full
Today we are also releasing a free copy of the DGPSI framework available for download here.
The objective of developing this framework and make it public as an open source document is to ensure that a culture of DPDPA Compliance is practiced by the Indian companies without much of a pain.
While implementation of compliance still costs time and money, we believe at least what needs to be done should not cost money.
While the copy of the Act and the Rules are published by the Government and are available through a separate website https://www.dpdpa.in, we are making the framework available here free of charge.
A team of FDPPI will be capable of taking any requests for conduct of DPDPA Gap analysis and implementation consultancy and also follow up with third party audit and certification.
