Rush for AI Guidelines

Naavi and FDPPI pioneered the formal guidline for AI regulation with the release of DGPSI-AI in September 2025. We had also subsequently released a discussion version of AIGSI or Artificial Intelligence Governance Standard of India.

In  November 2025, Government of India released an AI Governance guideline .

CERT In had released a guideline for AI usage in vulnerability analysis . Also RBI had issued its own Guideline in the form of Model Risk Management Framework. Supreme Court had also released a guideline for AI usage in Judiciary

In the last few days two more guidelines have appeared.

CERT In has issued another security audit guideline on November 4, 2026 for AI.

A few days back, DSCI also released a discussion paper on AI Liability

There are now eight different documents discussing different aspects of AI. As we move towards a AI regulation for India, it would be an interesting discussion to have on these 8 documents and how they address different aspects of AI regulation.

FDPPI would like to release a consolidated discussion paper on the above in the IDPS 2026 either at bangalore on November 21, 2026 or on November 28 2026 at Hyderabad.
