Shri T. Theethan, IA &AS has joined as Accountant General (Audit )II, Tamil Nadu on 1^st July 1999. He was selected to Indian Audit and Accounts in the Civil Service Examination conducted in 1982.

Earlier he had worked as Director to the President of India at Rashtrapathi Bhavan and also worked as Director (Finance) in the Electronics Department which was then under the charge of the Prime Minister.

Shri Theethan, Accountant General is in charge of the audit of Revenue Receipts of Central Government (Income Tax, Central Excise, Customs), all taxes of State Governments (Sales Tax, Land Revenue, Motor Vehicle Tax, State Registration, Agricultural Income Tax) and commercial audit of 92 Public Sector Undertakings in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
