Cyber Society of India is a society established to promote the Education, Employment and Harmonious Development of the Cyber Society.
The Society has been registered under the Tamil Nadu Registration of Societies Act 1975 under the registration number 254/2004.
The Bankers for the Society are State Bank of Mysore, T.Nagar Branch, Chennai 600017.
Cyber Society of India will have operations through out India and also abroad. It is in the process of establishing chapters in Sri Lanka and Malaysia during the next year.
The Indian operations will also be expanded with chapters in other major centers in India.
Mr T. Theethan, Accountant General, Tamil Nadu is the Chairman of the Society.
Mr R.Ramamurthy, Director Digicon Communications Ltd is the Vice Chairman of the Society.
Mr J.Ranganathan, Director UN Habitat is the Vice Chairman in charge of International operations of the Soceity.
Mr Na.Vijayashankar, Director Cyber Law College is the Secretary of the Society.
In the Board Meeting held on February 1, 2005, it was unanimously resolved that Sri N.Vittal Former CVC of India should be invited to be an Honorary Member of the Society and be requested to guide the Board as a Patron.
