In Section 66, the
words …”Commits Hacking” is to be deleted and replaced with “is liable for
punishment as per sub section (2)”. Heading has to be modified to delete the
word “Hacking” and replaced with “Injury to Data Residing inside a Computer”.
Subsection (2) to be
correspondingly modified by replacing the words “whoever commits hacking” with
"whoever commits an offence as per subsection (1)”
