Sri Lanka Tops as a Team

At the end of match 39, the points table in the Cricket World Cup was as follows.

The NCR ratings of each team consolidated on points basis showed the following rankings. Australia with one match to be played is in the top of the points table but is at the second place in the NCR table. Since the next match of Australia is with Ireland, it appears that this order will not change after the next match. Even New Zealand and South Africa  has also swapped places in the third and fourth place.

 Since a win against Ireland as well as New Zealand will give two points only,  the points table and NCR table will show a difference as is evident from the above.

It would be interesting to see the table once again after all the matches have been completed in the super eight round since at present the strength of opposition for different teams is not similar.
