Round I Analysis
With the completion of the first round of matches in the world cup 2007, it is time to analyse the performances of all the players over their respective first matches.
The complete listing of rankings are available here.
All the 177 players (11 players each in 16 teams and a substitute) who has participated in the tournament at this stage have been classified into 85 rankings.
The top spot is occupied by Scott Styris of New Zealand with 142 NCR points (Naavi Credit Rating Points). He was followed by Dwyane Smith and Bravo of West Indies in the second and third places. The fourth place was occupied by Mortaza of Bangladesh. The first four places all belonged to the NCR centurions.

We hope he would improve his position in the coming days. There is one Indian in this list and that is Ajit Agarkar at an NCR rating of -6.
One more observation that we can make is that most of the captains and top openers are not in the list of top 10. The top Captains are at 26th rank shared by Lara and Ponting. Top Wicket keeper is Nixon at 12.
A better view of the abilities of different players will be available after the group matches are completed.
