Heros and Villains...8

Styris Fails to Climb to the Top Slot in second Round

Day 8 of the Cricket World Cup had two matches of lesser significance where New Zealand took on Scotland and South Africa took on Kenya. While both favourites won their resepctive matches, as expected, Thomos Odoyo and Gream Smith were the respective NCR players of the two matches. Gream Smith was the NCR hero of the day.

In the overall ratings, Scott Styris who was the leader in the first round could climb only to the third place behind Dwayne Smith and Bravo. The top rankings were as follows:

On the laggards side, the bottom of the table where players had negative points were as follows:

The King of the NCR laggards is still Odhiyambo who did not play the second match and hence could not improve his position.

There is still one more match to go before the round finishes and we can then review the rankings for round 2.
