Day 2: Sri LankaVs Bermuda and Ireland Vs Zimbabwe

JP Bray of Ireland emergs the Hero of Day 3

Day 3 of the Cricket World Cup 2007 saw two more matches one between the Minnows Bermuda and the strong Sri Lanka while the other was between Ireland and Zimbabwe.

The Sri Lanka match went true to prediction with  Sri Lanka winning by a thumping 243 runs. While Jayawardhane dropped first ball went on to have some batting practice, Maharoof won the bowling honours.

The second match was more interesting with Ireland wresting a tie with Zimbabwe.  J P Bray was the real hero with an unbeaten Century while several bowlers combined well to prevent Zimbabwe from winning.

From the NCR (Naavi Cricket Rating) angle Bray was the hero of the day while DCC Borden of Bermudawas the s NCR Villan of the day.

In the consolidated table the first three places remained in tact while J P Bray occupied the coveted fourth place.

Day 4 will see a big match between England and New Zealand which could see some of the top three positions threatened.
