India’s First Cyber Law College to Open from 28th

India’s first Cyber Law College is slated to open its doors on the Internet on 28th.. . The college will operate from www.cyberlawcollege.com and offer virtual classes for a certificate course in Cyber Law.

The College has been promoted by Naavi.com and would be managed by Na.Vijayashankar the author of the first book on Cyber Laws in India, viz. "Cyber Laws for Every Netizen in India" who also maintains the well known Cyber Law Portal www.naavi.com

The College is starting registrations on 28th and the first lesson will be dispatched on 7th October on the Vijaya Dashami day. The course entitled "Certificate in Cyber Laws" will be administered over a period of 3 months with weekly lessons and evaluation of feed back questions. The college would have periodic interactive sessions online with the participants on a one-one basis to help in the monitoring of progress of the students.

Naavi’s Cyber Law College is also planning to introduce a "Diploma" and "Advanced Diploma" courses in due course for a more in depth study of the Cyber Laws.

The Certificate Course is open to all members of the Public and no pre –qualification in either Law or Technology is prescribed. An exposure to Commercial law is however considered preferable. The Course would be offered initially at Rs 2750/- for students from India and at US$60 for students from outside India. 

Presently there are no courses on Cyber Laws in India either offline or on the Internet. Naavi.com intends to start offline courses initially in Chennai in association with some well known educational institutions and later extend it to other parts of the country.
