Certified E-Mail Forwarding Service

Certified E-Mail Forwarding Service (CEFS) is a specially structured B2B service for Banks, Financial Institutions, Stock Broking Firms, Insurance Companies etc who need to send out e-mail notices to their clients and preserve them as evidences for future use.

This will be particularly useful since the addressee is unlikely to have a digital certificate and is not going to confirm receipt of the e-mail notice.

The service offered from a third party such as the Cyber Evidence Archival Center (CEAC) is a better option than the sending company digitally signing the outgoing mail or using any other device of its own to obtain a confirmation of receipt from the addressee.

Under this service, CEAC will register an E-mail Communication sent by the Company to its customer and provide the following three kinds of certification.

a) Certified Sent

b) Certified Delivered

c) Certified read.

The objective of this service is to enable  the sender of an e-mail  to preserve the communication as "Legally Presentable Evidence".

Procedure of Application

The details of the working of the CEFS will be determined based on the client's requirement.

Caution:
This Service is Not a Notary Service under the Notaries Act 1952. The certification process used by CEAC will  follow the principles enunciated in Information technology Act 2000

Pricing:

The pricing of the service will be negotiated based on the volume and nature of the transaction as well as the nature of certificate delivery required.

Payment Terms:

The payment terms will be negotiated on case to case basis.
